What's the point of "publishing" one's private thoughts or goings on for the world to see? Who cares? Why should anyone want to publish or read the potentially pointless minutiae of daily life? Who'd be interested? Shouldn't one publish work that's worth reading? Well written? Edited? Intentioned?
On the other hand, I've found a lot of satisfaction in reading some fantastic stream of consciousness things on the web. It's a sort of bold, naked endeavor/adventure, to just come here and spill out and see what ends up choosing to make its arrival.

Could it be that we are all simply searching for validation? Is this the act (insubstantial though it may be) that will prove to the world, and to ourselves that we are somehow different, unique, creative, that we have some spark of individuality that separates us from the billions of other souls on this planet? Is this therapy for those of us who lack the commitment to become professional drunks? Does there need to be a point? Isn't it impolite to point? Are my remarks too pointed?
I'll shut up now... Point taken:)
